The Register of Deeds Office records all land transactions, births, deaths, and marriages that occur in Haywood County. The office maintains the real property index in the county, including deed easements, right-of-ways and leaseholds; instruments of Security (mortgages, Deeds of Trust) and conditional sales contracts, military service personnel records; qualification and terms of office of notaries public and corporation records, including charters, amendments and dissolutions; partnership agreements and businesses operating under assumed names.
Office HoursMonday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Documents are recorded 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Marriage Certificates issued 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
